About
Salary: £50k - £85k (depending on experience and company size and whether role includes Distribution and Contact Centre)

Also known as: Director of Business Development, Director of Commercial Strategy, Commercial Director, Head of Revenue Management.

As Director of Revenue Management you will lead and inspire robust revenue management practises within the business. Responsible for setting and ensuring that hotels follow the companies bespoke revenue management standards. You will seek-out and capitalise on revenue management opportunities in all other areas of the business. You will also be mindful and up-to-date on all cross-industry advances in this field.

Your duties may include

  • Facilitate, guide and direct all department heads in selecting the optimum revenue opportunities for the property
  • Oversee the maximisation of revenues through the combined efforts of the Reservations, Sales & MICE Sales Departments
  • Assist Director of Sales & Marketing in the preparation of month end report 
  • Prepare necessary data required for revenue budgets and assist management team in preparing yearly budgets 
  • Measure total revenue performance against strategy and targets and adapt current strategy as necessary
  • Actively monitor the competitive environment and elaborate revenue optimising tactics and strategies in order to maximise revenue generation.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of rooms and C&E revenue management
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • High level of professionalism with impact and influence within all levels of operations and be self-motivated with a pro-active approach
  • Have the foresight to capture any unexpected opportunities and implement recovery plans to counter act threats to business 
  • Able to develop & pilot the Revenue Strategy
  • Has the leadership skills to support and impact the revenue teams across the other properties
  • Ability to analytically review numbers and draw conclusion about past and future.
