HOSPACE 2015 – HOSPA’s Annual Conference and Exhibition for Hospitality Finance, Revenue Management, IT and Commerce Professionals on 26 November at Sofitel London Heathrow, Terminal 5 – is the largest and most prestigious annual gathering of like-minded hospitality practitioners in the UK
HOSPA has pleasure in announcing the HOSPACE 2015 ‘HOSPA Spotlight’ panel of top multi-disciplined hospitality industry specialists to examine in-depth ‘The challenges of effective and Inward and outward hospitality management’. The session will bring HOSPACE 2015 Conference and Exhibition to a climactic close on 26 November.
Under the astute chairmanship of industry strategic advice and corporate finance guru Paul Slattery, Co-Founder and Director of Otus & Co, the panellists – all experts in their fields – will be addressing how to juggle such diverse concerns as hospitality owners and other stakeholders, guests and staff, fraud, own bookings versus OTAs (Online Travel Agents), and funding.
The panellists will be: Heiko Figge, Head of private equity company Moorfield Group’s hospitality portfolio, who was himself a leading operator in the hotel industry; Jeremy Rata, Operations Director, Luxury Hotel Partners - worldwide specialists in boutique hotels; Sarah Freeman, Director, Business Partner, Hotel Operations Europe, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG); and Adrian Hands, Senior Director, Metasearch/Instant Book, EMEA, for TripAdvisor.
Commenting on the ‘HOSPA Spotlight’ session, HOSPA Chief executive Carl Weldon said: “The issue of how best to juggle all the internal and external considerations involved in effective inward and outward management, is one of the particular challenges and quirks of the hospitality industry and its ownership structures. The topic will provide an absorbing ‘HOSPA Spotlight’ climax to our one-day HOSPACE Conference and Exhibition. We are delighted to welcome Paul Slattery, for whom this is his first time at HOSPACE. On the receiving end of his probing questioning, we are fortunate to have an expert panel – covering all angles of this vitally important in-depth discussion, exploration and illustration of the key issues involved.”
The first in-depth, 70-minute ‘HOSPA Spotlight’ session of the day will focus on ‘Hospitality and the Digital Challenge’. Both HOSPA Spotlights will be supported by the latest cutting-edge, interactive technology to ensure full delegate participation – including voting on issues raised.
Delegates, and those unable to attend HOSPACE 2015, can interact on the day with the Conference –to be held at the Sofitel London Heathrow, Terminal 5 – by tweeting on ‘@HOSPATweets’, ‘#HOSPACE’, or ‘#HOSPACE15’. HOSPA has over 15,000 followers on all social media platforms, and the Association would be delighted for industry members to join in the discussions via social media on 26 November.
In addition to the ’HOSPA Spotlight’ sessions, there will be the traditionally popular annual ‘Leaders Panel’ discussion, setting the scene for the one day Conference and Exhibition; and two in-depth face-to-face interviews with two of the hospitality industry’s most influential and dynamic leaders – British Hospitality Association Chief Executive Ufi Ibrahim and citizenM hotels co-partner, founder and Chief Operating Officer Michael Levie.
As in previous years, delegates will have the opportunity to attend three half-hour ‘HOSPACE Workshops and Technical Updates’ – with a choice of one from up to eight available sessions per half-hour. Also, HOSPACE 2015 will be hosting its ever popular and growing exhibition of hospitality technology solutions – providing delegates with a ‘one stop shop’ to view and interact with the latest and ‘best in class’ technologies – covering all eventualities for any hospitality business, whether they be start-up, established independent, or multi chain-owned, operations.
The event’s grand finale Gala Dinner – including the signature HOSPACE entertainment – is one of the traditional social networking highlights of the Conference.
