'Sales soar' on Six Nations

Sales soared by 19.7% for the first weekend of the Six Nations compared to the previous weekend according to The Oxford Partnership.


Growth was driven by longer dwell times and marginally higher footfall than 2024.


Sales were up 0.5% over the same game days in 2024.


The average pub served 443 pints of Draught Beer & Cider over the Friday & Saturday of the first weekend of the competition, which equated to a £2,206 income generator


Average consumer dwell time grew at a total level to 159 mins vs. 157 mins vs. the same week last year (+1.2%) with suburbia driving the highest growth +1.3%. All locations saw either flat or a slight increase in consumer visit length vs. last year, with rural outlets +1.2% whilst city centres flat.
