The Great Green Balloon Debate: Who's Going To Save Our Planet
Thursday 3rd October, 4pm - 7pm, Bankside Hotel, London
JOIN THE DEBATE - 10 speakers - 10 sustainability issues - 5 minutes each - You decide who wins
Join us for 'The Great Green Balloon Debate: Who's Going To Save Our Planet’ where industry leaders and subject matter experts will fight for their place in the balloon by pitching the importance of their planet protecting initiatives.
Covering everything from Waste to Tech, our experts will help you to navigate the complex world of environmental sustainability, giving you insights into areas you may not have considered before and helping to clarify how some of the broader subjects relate to you and your hotel.
Sustainability is a minefield, and we know it can be overwhelming at times. We have structured this event to be a series of short “pitches” from each subject matter expert to help our audience gain a broad understanding of how their actions can reduce their impact on the planet.
In true Balloon Debate style, each expert will pitch why their subject so badly needs your business support to help “save the planet” and you, as the audience will get the opportunity to vote to your allegiance to your winning subject to keep them in the balloon.
Our subject matter experts are:
-
Reaching Net Zero - Sue Williams, Positive Hospitality
-
Waste Management - Alex Grant, Grundon Waste Management
-
The Circular Economy - Tommie Eaton, @BambuuBrush & Clean the World
-
The Sharing Economy - Liam Jones, Olio
-
Education & Behaviour Change - James Shorey, Planet Mark
-
Electrifying Energy - Jason Simpson, RAW Charging
-
The Food System - Dr Vincent Walsh, RegenFarmCo and Herbalism
-
Ecosystem Regeneration - Amanda Bronkhorst, Just One Tree
-
Clean Tech - Adam Hill, Heuvel
-
Water Preservation - Georgie Murray, Belu
The pitch order will be selected at random on the night to ensure a fair opportunity for everyone. Once all our speakers have pitched their cause, an audience vote will determine the top three who will then take two questions each from the audience before the eventual winner is crowned.
And don’t worry, if your favourite isn’t crowned, there will plenty of opportunity to ask questions and continue the conversations at the drinks reception that follows the debate.
If you are established in your sustainability journey, or wondering where to start, come and join us for an insightful evening of education, debate and ultimate collaboration.
